The Ilorin West Local Government Council has alerted the general public, particularly residents within the council area, about a fraudulent message currently circulating via SMS.

The deceptive message, sent under the name PVHH-TCFRRR, reportedly invites selected individuals to fill out an online form and make a payment of ₦3,500 through a suspicious link — http://ccttcf.com.ng.

In a public statement issued on Monday, November 10, 2025, the Council categorically disclaimed any connection with the message, describing it as the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting citizens.

“The message did not originate from the Ilorin West Local Government Council. It is a scam designed by fraudsters to deceive unsuspecting members of the public,” the statement read in part.

Residents have therefore been urged to disregard such messages, avoid clicking suspicious links, and refrain from making any payments related to the fraudulent message.

Reiterating the council’s commitment to transparency and public welfare, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Shehu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, assured residents of Ilorin West that his administration remains steadfast in promoting the welfare, development, and progress of the local government.

The statement was signed by Abdulhameed L.O, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Ilorin West Local Government Council.
