Tinubu Swears in RMAFC, FCC Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and the National Population Commission (NPC). The ceremony took place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Also sworn in were eight new Permanent Secretaries who emerged through a rigorous selection process, including written and oral examinations, as well as an ICT competency test.
New Permanent Secretaries Take Oath of Office
Among those appointed as Permanent Secretaries is Dr. Onwusoro Ihemelandu from Abia State, an optometrist and World Bank-certified procurement expert. Ihemelandu, who joined the Federal Civil Service in 1997, has served as Director of Procurement in various ministries, including Environment, Labour and Employment, and Interior.
Philip Ebiogeh Ndiomu, from Bayelsa State, also took the oath of office. An expert in agriculture, Ndiomu has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Animal Science and has led initiatives to train and empower over 5,500 women, youths, and vulnerable groups.
Another appointee, Dr. Anuma Nlia from Ebonyi State, is a medical doctor and healthcare administrator. He has played a key role in Nigeria’s tertiary healthcare system, having served as Director of the Teaching Hospitals Division and Head of Regulatory and Professional Schools at the Federal Ministry of Health.
Chinasa Nnam Ogbodo, an accountant from Enugu State, has served in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission, and the Ministry of Transportation. Before his appointment, he was Director of Special Duties at the Accountant General’s Office.
Gombe State’s Dr. Kalba Danjuma Usman, a renowned urologist, was also sworn in. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and a pioneer in LASER surgery in Nigeria.
From Kebbi State, Dr. Salihu Aminu Usman, an accounting and management expert, was appointed. He has held several finance-related roles in government, including Director of Finance and Accounts at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
Other appointees include Patience Nwakuso Oyekunle from Rivers State, a biochemist and policy expert, and Engr. Nadungu Gagare from Kaduna State, an agricultural engineer recognized for his contributions to mechanized farming and rural development.
RMAFC, FCC, NPC Commissioners Inaugurated
President Tinubu also swore in 21 RMAFC commissioners, representing various states, to oversee revenue mobilization and allocation.

Additionally, Kayode Oladele was sworn in as a Federal Commissioner for the FCC, while Pastor (Mrs.) Iyantan Olukemi Victoria took the oath as a Federal Commissioner for the NPC.
The swearing-in ceremony marks another step in President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening governance and public administration in Nigeria.
