SENATOR SADIQ UMAR CONTROVERSIAL PLENARY PRESENTATION – Senator Sadiq Apologises to constituents

The Senator representing Kwara North Sadiq Suleiman Umar has expressed apologies over misunderstandings from his contributions to the Senate debate on security breaches in parts of the state.
The Senator said he could not have trivialized the pains and losses of the people that he represents at the Upper Chamber.
“I am therefore sorry, because I am human hence this slip in my presentation especially not pointing out the challenge still being faced by some part of Kwara North.” he said in an apology personally signed by him.
Recalling his previous legislative actions, statements, and support on the issue, he restated his commitment to collaborate with all stakeholders to tackle the menace, which have claimed many lives and disrupted livelihoods across communities.
He commended the leadership and members of various communities and vigilante groups, the traditional rulers for their efforts to checkmate the evil activities of these criminal elements.
And he promised to not only give more support to local efforts in curbing this menace but to also intensify efforts with the state and federal governments so as to put this behind us
He also appreciated the efforts of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for their efforts in securing the state and indeed the country at large.
Because I know what is being done behind the scenes and my people will soon see the results” he said.
