Ramadan Lecture: Team Gigabyte Organizes Successful Annual Ramadan Lecture At Kwara State Polytechnic

Yesterday, the Student Union Government of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, led by Team Gigabyte, organized its annual Ramadan lecture on the institution’s premises. The event was hosted and supported by the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Engr. Abdul Jimoh, and the Directorate of the Student Service (DSS), Dr. Bolakale Ajadi.

The lecture was graced by the presence of the invited Guest of Honour, Alhaji Mufutau Akanbi Oke, who happens to be the Director-General of the Salman Shagaya Foundation. The lecture was delivered by a spiritual father, Fadilat Sheikh Kawu Isale Koto, who spoke on the Significance of Ramadan in Islamic Religion.

The lecture was well attended by members of the polytechnic community, including students, lecturers, and non-academic staff. In his opening remarks, the Rector, Dr. Engr. Abdul Jimoh, commended the Student Union Government for organizing the event and reiterated the importance of Ramadan in Islamic religion. He also urged students to use the period of Ramadan to reflect on their lives and make necessary adjustments.

The DSS Director, Dr. Bolakale Ajadi, also praised the Student Union Government for organizing the event, describing it as a laudable initiative. He encouraged students to use the period of Ramadan to cultivate good habits and develop a strong relationship with Allah.

The Guest of Honour, Alhaji Mufutau Akanbi Oke, in his remarks, expressed his delight at being part of the event. He commended the Student Union Government for organizing the lecture and urged students to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the period of Ramadan to draw closer to Allah.

The spiritual father, Fadilat Sheikh Kawu Isale Koto, in his lecture, emphasized the significance of Ramadan in Islamic religion. He highlighted the importance of fasting, prayer, and charity during the month of Ramadan, and encouraged students to imbibe these virtues.
