President Bola Tinubu is set to return to Nigeria today, Monday, after a working visit to Europe. According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will be back home today.
The President had been away from the country since April 2, when he departed for Paris, France, for a short working visit. During his visit, he was expected to assess his administration’s mid-term performance and review ongoing reforms.
Onanuga had earlier stated that the President would use the visit to engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary and deepen reforms to accelerate national development priorities.
After his engagements in Paris, President Tinubu proceeded to London, where he continued consultations and maintained regular communication with senior government officials in Abuja.
The Presidency has not disclosed the specific time of arrival or President Tinubu’s itinerary upon return, but his return marks the end of weeks of speculation regarding his absence from the country.
