NLC demands fuel price reversal

1 min read

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has called for an immediate reversal of the pump price of petrol across the country.

NLC made the request on Tuesday in post on its X page

The post reads: “We demand the immediate reversal of the latest increase in the pump of PMS across the country.”

Recall that the union claimed they felt betrayed by President Bola Tinubu after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, increased the official price of fuel from N617 to N897 per litre.

NLC president, Joe Ajaero, claimed that why they accepted the N70,000 minimum wage was an understanding that there would be no further increase in the price of fuel.

Ajaero however, threatened that in the coming days, the appropriate organs of Congress will be meeting to make appropriate decisions
