Kwara2023: Hon AGF Salahudeen of APC Celebrates Victory in Omupo Constituency Elections

Omupo Constituency, Kwara State – In a stunning victory, the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidate for Omupo constituency, Hon AGF Salahudeen, has defeated his PDP and SDP counterparts, Hon Razaq Lawal and Hon Kazeem Saheed Idowu, in the just-concluded gubernatorial and house of assembly elections held yesterday.

The APC candidate, Hon AGF Salahudeen, emerged as the clear winner with a total of 6205 votes, while Hon Lawal Razaq of the PDP received 3906 votes and Hon Kazeem Saheed Idowu of the SDP received 1243 votes.

The election, which was keenly contested, witnessed a massive turnout of voters in Omupo constituency. The results were announced earlier today by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Speaking on his victory, Hon AGF Salahudeen expressed his gratitude to the people of Omupo constituency for their support and promised to work towards the development of the constituency and Kwara State at large.

The APC candidate’s victory has been described as a major upset for the PDP and SDP, as the APC has now secured a seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly from the constituency.

The election result has been accepted by all parties, and there have been no reports of violence or electoral malpractice. The INEC officials and security agents are also commended for their conduct during the election.
