***Warns agent of despair to desist from jeopardizing youths’ interest to score cheap and pocket-dip political goals.
Sequel to the declaration made by the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Kwara State Chapter, Comrade Ali Nasiru Yusuf at the Kwarapreneur 2.0 events held yesterday August 12th, 2022 at the Kwara State Banquet Hall in Ilorin where he declared support for Gov. AA’s second-time bid in office thereby summoning and directing other youth groups in Kwara to join the train, Kwara Youth Circle is dissociating itself from this solitary decision.
According to reliable sources, NYCN Kwara Chapter unanimously indicated to have summoned all the youths in Kwara state, including non-partisan youth organizations like Kwara Youth Circle (KYC) to declare their support for the second-time bid of the incumbent governor.
According to the Nigeria National Youth policy 2019-2023 (Strategic Thrust III), NYCN shall be committed to enhancing the capacities of youths and youth-led organisations to engage actively with the political processes at all levels, foster an enabling environment for youths engagement with the political processes at all levels.
By the above guideline, the general public should be informed that the Chairman does not have the capacity to drag Kwara youths or direct non partisans groups into his cheap games to score his political goals for personal benefits, as the decision is not deliberated at all by focused youth organizations like KYC.
Meanwhile, Mall. AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman’s role towards the development of the youth community as a Governor is thus commendable and deserving of appraisal to a certain degree giving the level of youth inclusiveness in his government.
However, it would be regarded as a cheap political game and act of despair if some power-drunk entities should arise from the nooks of their personal greed to jeopardize the interest of Kwara youths by declaring support for a sole political organization.
So, Kwara Youth Circle (KYC) as a duly registered youth organization in the state, and having recorded traceable and impactful fleets of achievements geared towards the uplifting and emancipation of youths development in the state, hereby exempts itself from such declaration.
Kwara Youth Circle (KYC) is a sensitized, diplomatic and engaging Youths Society in Kwara whose charisma and zealousness towards positivity is geared at adopting and discharging key strategic approach of developments and expansion in touching the lives of many youth in the State.
It should be nailed down and known vividly to all and sundry that KYC is non partisan and have no political affiliation to any entity whatsoever as highlighted in a memo titled ; Our stand, the prevalence of KYC on her aims and objectives.
“KYC is being catalysed and prompted by the ideas of unflinching diplomatic minded individuals, standing firm on the basis of its establishment thereby setting apart all religious, tribal, political and gender differences or sentiments.”
The Kwara Youth Circle is for the general emancipation of youths in Kwara state and shall not kow-tow or be restraint to tackling any act of oppression on any youth entity in the states thereby tagging any entity acting against Kwara Youth as an antagonist of progress and development amongst Kwara youths as one of our watchwords remain standing against deprivation of human rights.
KYC is keen to the sole purpose of building the youth community in Kwara, therein serving as a fundamental source of human right, empowerment, moral developments as well as youths encroachment in every ramification of governance, thereby producing and preaching morally upright and viable youths who arecapable of moving Kwara and the nation forward in terms of sociopolitical and economic development by rendering their genuine contributions on the facet of humanity.
KYC is assuring that our determination shall remain unshaken and in tranquility as our roots of amalgamation is being fortified by resourceful, diplomatical and intellectual youths from the nooks and crannies of all sixteen Local Government Areas in Kwara state, that are well orientated and prepared in saddling developmental programs and empowerments to the general youth entity of Kwara thereby pronouncing every youth as a potential member of Kwara Youths Circle (KYC).”
We hereby charge NYCN, Kwara Chapter to focus on their constitutional duties, to bring development to Kwara state youths, and stop politicizing the youth interest because of personal gains.
We’re equally disappointed that the council over years that refused to facilitate any traceable development to the youths community in the state grew bold enough to declare their support for a political group.
Hence, any assail or charge against the conducts of Kwara youth is a strike against the principles of KYC.
Any affiliation of the Kwara Youth Circle to a political party or any related organization by any entity shall be deemed an attack on KYC’s principles and such shall, hence, be treated as a scheme against the development of Kwara Youths.
It is on this note that we assure all Kwarans most especially the youths community that KYC will never be tired to be the right channel for youthful advocacy and shall never jeopardize the interest of Kwara Youth as it’s as well noteworthy to register our commitment to promoting peace and stability.
