Kwara Governor Bags ‘Champion of Education’ Award at Kwara Poly Leadership Summit

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has been conferred with the Champion of Education award at a leadership summit organized by the Student Union Government of Kwara State Polytechnic.
The event, held at the Rear Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal Auditorium on the institution’s campus, was part of a summit and awards ceremony hosted by the student body under the leadership of Team Educator.
Although Governor AbdulRazaq could not attend in person, he was represented by his Special Assistant on Student Matters, Comrade Salami Wasiu Onidugbe. The Governor’s entourage also included other Special Assistants and state commissioners.
Speaking at the event, Comrade Onidugbe expressed the Governor’s appreciation for the honour, noting that the award was a testament to the administration’s dedication to improving education in the state.
As part of the ceremony, the Student Union also launched The Light of Leadership, a magazine showcasing student leadership initiatives, campus achievements, and inspirational stories.
Governor AbdulRazaq, through his representative, lauded the students’ union for its peaceful and progressive leadership, pledging his administration’s continued support for both the union and Kwara State Polytechnic.
The summit drew participation from students, staff, union leaders, and key government representatives, all celebrating youth engagement and leadership development within the educational sector.
