Ilorin West LG Chairman Inaugurates Chief of Staff, CPS, SAs, PAs, Media Aides

• Charges Aides to be faithful, loyal, honest to Ilorin West residents.
The Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Honourable Shehu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, has officially inaugurated his new set of aides aimed at enhancing governance and service delivery in Ilorin West of Kwara State. The ceremony, held at the council’s Secretariat, and moderated by Chief of Staff, Engr. Oba A.O.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Ladan expressed deep appreciation for the trust and confidence placed in the newly appointed aides. He emphasized that the appointments were made based on merit, competence, and a shared vision for the progress of Ilorin West. He further underscored that these appointments are crucial to achieving the developmental goals of the administration and ensuring smooth governance at the local level.
The Chairman noted that the role of the aides is pivotal, and he pointed to the Chief of Staff office as important in coordinating the activities of the administration, facilitating communication, and ensuring that policies are effectively executed. Similarly, the publicity aides will be instrumental in managing the flow of information, handling media relations, and ensuring transparency in the government’s operations.
Other aides, who were also sworn in, will assist in various activities, community engagements, and service delivery capacities. They are expected to work closely with the Chairman to address critical issues such as infrastructural development, education, healthcare, political engagement, in the local government area.
Along with the Chairman, the Vice Chairman, Hon Suliat Oyindamola Olowu, advised the Aides to be faithful , loyal and honest to the Chairman. The Rt. Honourable Speaker, Hon. Yusuf Aremu Ajia urged the newly appointed aides to remain focused on their duties, to exhibit a high level of professionalism, and be responsive to the needs and concerns of the Community.
As part of development, the Ilorin West Development Officer, Hon. Abdulfatai Abdullahi Ajia, during the ceremony, called the aides led by Chief of Staff to work as a team, work harder in their respective communities, and make sure the governance reaches the different communities across the district of Ilorin West.
The ceremony concluded with the swearing-in of the aides, by the council lawyer, Barr. A. A Gidado where he affirmed the conducts and ethics of the local government and the State in general. The Chairman of the Assets and Liabilities committee, Dr Ajani, also implored the newly sworn aides to work as a team to realize the vision of a prosperous and thriving Ilorin West Local Government Area.
