Hon.Oniye Declared Interest To Represent Ilorin West/Asa At Federal Level.

Saturday 20thMarch,2022 is an historic moment to All members of People Democratic Party, PDP at
BABOKO Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State as Hon.Aliyu Oniye and his entourage stormed the meeting venue to declare his intention to run for the Federal House of Representatives in Ilorin West/Asa Constituency and also seeking the blessings, endorsement and total support of the Party.

It was indeed a remarkable outing for Oniye and his entourage who were given a warm reception as the PDP Members went into a wild jubilation to herald his arrival and echoed his name at intervals.

While officially presenting his letter of intent to the Ward Chairman, Alhaji Mashood kayode yakub before the full glare of the hundreds of party faithfuls in attendance, Oniye made a very short but articulated speech, expressing his vision, mission and goals to represent his people at the 10th National Assembly, NASS in 2023.

Oniye in summary said since charity begins at home, he came with his Team to place his aspiration before his people.

He pleaded for their total support at all levels, commitments from the Leaders,Women and the Youth as he promised to run an all-inclusive representation without discrimination.

While responding to Oniye expression of intent to run as PDP HoR Candidate, the Ward Chairman welcomed the Aspirant and his followers describing his aspiration as “God’s Own Project” which time has come.

Yakub mentioned that Oniye is a perfect replica of an honourable personae, a very distinct, dedicated and devoted young man.

The Ward Chairman also eulogised Oniye saying he is a man with sterling qualities and pedigrees, very humble in nature and generous to a fault, highly respectful, responsive and responsible to the party and community development.

“Oniye has a demonstrable antecedent as a compassionate youngster who has always been extending his kindness to the less privileges for over decades within this Constituency and beyond”.

Apart from the Ward Chairman and the executives, other notable and respected Party leaders too were given opportunities to pray, endorse and counsel Oniye on his aspiration.

The ward excos; women and youth leaders can not hide their joy over Oniye aspiration as they showed deep optimism through their various songs rendered.

The Leaders unanimously recounted and recalls the heroic deeds of the Progenitors of Oniye Dynasty.

The youth leader who also added voice said “the task before us is huge but we have a sellable political brand whose father has done more than enough in the development of our community and also helpful to many youths”

“Your father was a great man, an illustrious son of this land who uplifted many youths in the community” The youth leader positioned.

He therefore, urged all Party members to give total support towards the success of Oniye political ambition for the growth of our constituency”.
