The Special Assistance to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),Hajiya Maryam Yusuf Abdullahi Urges Kwarans to pickup their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) in their various Ward .

As the collection of permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) begins in Kwara, I write to urge the people of our state to prioritize obtaining their PVCs. The importance of participating in the electoral process cannot be overstated, as it is a crucial means by which we as citizens can hold our elected officials accountable and ensure that our voices are heard.

In addition, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that have been adopted by the international community, including Nigeria, require active citizen participation in order to be achieved. The SDGs are a set of 17 ambitious goals that aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. They cover a wide range of issues, including health, education, gender equality, clean energy, and climate action.

By participating in the electoral process and exercising our right to vote, we can help to ensure that our leaders are held accountable for their actions and that policies are implemented that support the achievement of the SDGs. In Kwara, this may mean electing officials who prioritize investing in education and health care, protecting the environment, and promoting gender equality.

Furthermore, obtaining a PVC is a simple and straightforward process that should not be overlooked. It is a small but important step that we can take to make a difference in our communities and in the world.

I therefore urge all citizens of Kwara to make obtaining their PVC a priority and to take advantage of this opportunity to make their voices heard. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for our state and for the world.
