The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has commenced the grading of the long-dilapidated Yaru-Agbeyangi road, which connects the Emabiyo Communities (Igbaja II and Igbaja III).

The Chairman said the purpose of the road is to reconnect the communities in Ifelodun Local Government, drive community development, and promote economic progress.

“As we have promised during our electioneering campaign, to connect all our communities together, to flush bad elements off our communities, encourage farming among the teeming youth populace, and support our economy. We have commenced the fixing of this road after the completion of Idofian-Igbaja, Omupo-Obaloyan, and Atanda,” he added.

“We have also supported some communities with solar street lights in Ebamiyo communities as part of our efforts to stabilise security and ensure the wellbeing of the people of Ifelodun Local Government.”

“The road will link Yaru community, Kunmi, Aireke, Obada, Budoloke, Alasoro, Tongolo, Giwa, Ilupeju, Agbeyangi to Panada. Some communities in Ilorin East that border Ifelodun will also benefit from the road.”

“This will ease movement to Igbaja, Olayinka and other communities in Agunjin and Oke-Ode districts from Panada, Ilorin East axis instead of always relying on the Ajase-Ipo route,” he said.

The Councilors representing Igbaja II and III at the Ifelodun Legislative Council, Hon. Oladipo Muhyideen  and Hon. Ridwan Kadri Olomowewe, in their separate remarks, appreciated the Chairman for this legacy project and for keeping to his campaign promises to the people of Ifelodun Local Government.
