Governor AbdulRazaq Hosts Kwarans for Iftar in Saudi Arabia

Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, hosted an iftar gathering in Saudi Arabia on Monday, March 25, 2025, alongside fellow Kwarans performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah). The event brought together prominent figures from the state, including lawmakers, government officials, and dignitaries.

Among the attendees were members of the House of Representatives, Hon. Raheem Olawuyi Ajuloopin (Ekiti, Irepodun, Oke Ero Federal Constituency) and Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya (Asa, Ilorin West Federal Constituency). Others present included Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi, Senior Adviser and Counsellor Alhaji Saadu Salau, Commissioner for Works Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, former Minister Jamila Bio, Ambassador Yahya Seriki, and former House of Representatives candidate Abdulsalam Abdulkadir.

The gathering, held in the spirit of Ramadan, served as an opportunity for the governor and his delegation to reflect on the significance of the holy month and pray for Kwara State and Nigeria. Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the importance of unity and supplication, asking Allah to accept their worship and bless the nation with peace and progress.

He also prayed for the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Majesty, believed to be a night of immense spiritual significance in Islam. The event underscored the governor’s commitment to fostering strong connections with Kwarans across the globe, especially during significant religious observances.

As the Ramadan season continues, the governor urged Muslims to remain steadfast in prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy and guidance for the state and country.
