Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on Monday received a delegation from the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria at the Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin, in what he described as a fruitful and symbolic visit by a leading voice in Nigeria’s religious and educational spheres.

The delegation was led by the newly inaugurated National President of the Society, Prince Mosediq Adeniji-Kazeem, SAN. The Governor commended the Society for its consistent advocacy in promoting educational advancement and religious harmony across the nation.

Governor AbdulRazaq congratulated Prince Adeniji-Kazeem on his emergence as the new National President of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society, urging him to build on the group’s enduring legacy of positive social and religious contributions.

“Ansar-ud-Deen Society has remained a vital partner in nation-building, especially in the areas of educational growth and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians,” the Governor stated. “We commend your leadership and reaffirm our administration’s commitment to these shared values.”

He used the opportunity to highlight the administration’s strides in transforming the state’s education and healthcare training sectors. “When we assumed office, the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital was the only functional training ground for medical students in the state. Today, we have added the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital at the General Hospital, Ilorin,” Governor AbdulRazaq disclosed.

The Governor also noted the transformation of Sobi Specialist Hospital into a teaching hospital affiliated with Al-Hikmah University, and the General Hospital in Omu Aran now serving as a teaching hospital for Thomas Adewumi University.

“These deliberate efforts are aimed at producing more qualified medical professionals and strengthening healthcare delivery across the state,” he added.

Governor AbdulRazaq expressed appreciation to the Ansar-ud-Deen delegation for their visit and wished the Society continued success in its national engagements and initiatives.
