Governor AbdulRazaq Equips Afon General Hospital With Multimillion-Naira Equipments

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, CON, has equipped Afon General Hospital in Asa Local Government of the state with multimillion-naira modern medical equipment in his effort to ensure adequate and efficient healthcare delivery across the state.

Inspecting the cutting-edge medical equipment in the company of the Hospital Management  Board on Friday, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam, disclosed the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq’s resolution to ensure state-owned hospitals have the necessary equipment needed to deliver excellent services to the good people of Kwara State.

The Commissioner added that the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Chairman, His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is committed to ensuring efficient service delivery in the health sector by providing modern medical equipment.

Dr El-Imam also reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing the Afon General Hospital, adding that the equipment was provided to improve the hospital’s capacity to deliver quality healthcare to Kwarans.

Discussing the benefits of the new medical equipment, the Commissioner maintained that it would aid in surgeries, patient care and overall hospital operations, including enhancing the overall functionality of the hospitals.

Addressing health personnel, Dr El-Imam urged them to remain committed to their jobs and ensure the equipment is properly used and maintained.

In his remarks, Mr Jeremiah Idowu, the officer overseeing the Afon General Hospital, appreciated the government’s effort, explaining that the new equipment would go a long way in aiding their work.

The new equipment the hospital took deliveries of included essential items such as Drip Stand, Hospital Bed, Hospital mattresses, Hospital pillows, Bedside lockers, Theater operating light, Theater operating table, Suction machine, Standing weighing machine, Binocular microscope and Haematocrit centrifuge.

Others included a Laboratory incubator, Bucket centrifuge, Genotype machine, Blood roller mixer, Blood Bank refrigerator, Overbed tables, Ultrasound scanner machine, Baby cots/bassinet, Baby weighing scales, Examination couches, Transport/transfer recovery stretcher, Hospital wheelchairs, Delivery couch bed (manual), Ward screens and 20 standing fans.

The equipment delivered to the hospital also included, Theatre instrument trolleys, Medicine trolleys, Oxygen concentrator, ENT Diagnosis sets, Theatre instrument cabinet, Hospital ward cabinets, Instrument water sterilisers, Kick about buckets, Digital water bath, Water Bins, Autoclave Steriliser, Roller Stools, Plastic chairs, Plastic Tables, Theatre boots size 8, size 10, Baby cots, Large theatre scrub sink, 5kva PV solar inverters, Gel Batteries (200w), Solar panels, Solar power accessories, Fridge freezers, Refrigerators, Fire Extinguishers, Desktop computer, Printer/copier, Office chairs, Office chairs (regular), Electricity generating set, Stabilizer (blue gate), Stabilizer (century), First Aid box, Theatre surgical dressing instrument (bulk purchase), Solar hospital compound and gangway light, Domestics sitting room settee sets, Domestic mattresses, Domestic pillows, Domestic beds, Patients long benches, Office tables, wooden larger, Office table wooden medium, Office cupboards, wooden size with glass view, Office cupboards without glass view and more.
