Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as unprecedented support and development strides in the North Central region under the current administration.

Speaking during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) North Central Zone held on Wednesday, Governor Abdulrazaq applauded the turnout and unwavering support of party leaders, elders, and members across the zone.

He highlighted key milestones achieved through the region’s alliance with the APC-led federal government, especially the recent establishment of the North Central Development Commission—a long-standing demand which, he said, has now become a reality under President Tinubu’s leadership.

“Our sons and daughters have been appointed to lead the Commission. This is a big win for us, and we are grateful to Mr. President,” the governor noted.

Governor Abdulrazaq also commended the President for critical infrastructural projects and strategic appointments, including the emergence of a North Central indigene as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC).

He further praised the newly introduced national forest guards policy, describing it as a game-changing initiative that places local communities at the forefront of national security, particularly in safeguarding the country’s forests and rural areas.

While acknowledging the challenges faced in the early stages of reforms, Governor Abdulrazaq asserted that the Tinubu administration’s policies are already yielding positive economic outcomes.

“The North Central has never been this favoured in national reckoning. Yet our region stands to gain a lot more,” he stated, urging stakeholders to remain united in their support for the APC and President Tinubu beyond 2027.

Governor Abdulrazaq emphasized that sustained backing of the current administration is essential for national cohesion, economic stability, and long-term development.

The meeting brought together top party chieftains, elected officials, and community leaders from the North Central states, reaffirming the zone’s strategic commitment to the APC’s national agenda.
