As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. Sulaimon Lekan Gadaff, the Seyidu Shabab of Ilorin Emirate and Aare Atunwase of Idofian Land, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah, urging faithfuls to use the occasion to reflect on the values of unity, compassion, and faith.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, which coincides with Jumu’ah (Friday prayers), Gadaff wished all Muslims a spiritually rewarding Eid and Jumat Mubarak, emphasizing the need for collective prayers and renewed commitment to national development.
“May this blessed occasion bring us closer to Allah, strengthen our bonds of unity, and inspire us to embody the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity,” Gadaff stated.
He called on Muslims to seek spiritual rejuvenation through the sermons and prayers of the day and to remember the global Muslim community in their supplications.
The Kwara-born youth leader and traditional titleholder used the opportunity to call for prayers for leaders at all levels. He urged the faithful to pray for the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for continued wisdom in steering the affairs of the Emirate; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for strength and divine guidance in leading the nation; and Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, NGF, for sustained progress in the state.
“Let us reaffirm our faith in Nigeria’s potential for greatness. May our diversity be a strength, and may our collective efforts propel our nation toward a brighter future,” he added.
Hon. Gadaff also sent warm wishes to his family, friends, and supporters, praying for their continued joy, good health, and prosperity during the festive period.
“Eid Mubarak to you all,” the statement concluded.
