Business activities begin as Hadji Femi Yusuf commissions Amoyo Ultra-Modern market

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has officially commissioned the newly constructed Amoyo Ultra-Modern Market, marking the commencement of full business operations on Tuesday.
The market project is one of the Chairman’s strategic initiatives aimed at improving the economic landscape of the local government, expanding commercial opportunities, and boosting Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
Speaking at the event, the Alamoyo of Amoyo, His Royal Highness Oba Jamiu Oyewole, commended The Chairman for his commitment to development. He stated that the Chairman has fulfilled several of his campaign promises, giving various communities across Ifelodun what they need, according to their peculiar demands.
“Since the beginning of his administration, He has been progressing Ifelodun with visible projects. Today is another testament to his people-focused leadership,” the monarch said.
The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji AbdulRazaq Arowoola, praised the inclusive governance style of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the APC-led government in the state. He added that the market will serve as a major source of income for traders, transporters, and the council at large.
In his remarks, The Chairman expressed gratitude to the people of Amoyo and assured them of more development. He emphasized the importance of reviving local economies and creating commercial hubs to engage traders and the youth.
“We will soon commence the grading of roads in Amoyo and neighbouring communities to ease access and transportation. This market is a step forward in our plan to bring back the Ifelodun Travellers initiative, which will bring ease to traveling in the local government and Amoyo Market will host the infrastructure,” he added.
The commissioning was attended by Special Assistance to Kwara Governor on urban market development, Hon Olagunju Ayobami Rasheedat; Deputy Speaker, Ifelodun Legislative Council, Hon Ismail Kadir; Cheif of Staff to thr Chairman, Chief Ademola Zubair; Head department of works, Engr Badmus Ayinde; APC Idofian Ward II Chairman, Hon. Abdulfatai Leko; Hon Bifo Hakeem; market leaders; community stakeholders; youth representatives; and other party officials.
