APC Offa LGA Denounces False Suspension Claims Against Assembly Members

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Offa Local Government Area has firmly denied reports circulating about the purported suspension of two members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, describing the claims as “malicious, unauthorized, and false.”

In an official disclaimer signed by the APC Offa LGA Chairman, Hon. Prince Moshood Kunle Adegboye, the party clarified that there was no such action taken against Hon. Gbenga Yusuf J.K., representing Essa/Shawo/Igboodun Constituency, and Hon. David Seun Ogunniyi Adato of Ojomu/Balogun Constituency.

According to the statement, certain unidentified individuals allegedly used the name of the LGA Party Chairman to spread misinformation about the suspension of the lawmakers. The party leadership has categorically denied authorizing any such move.

“We wish to state unequivocally that this action is unauthorized, baseless, and without our knowledge or approval,” the statement read.

The APC Offa LGA further assured party members and the general public that investigations are ongoing to uncover those behind the alleged act, adding that appropriate measures would be taken against the perpetrators.

The chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to democratic principles, transparency, due process, and accountability, urging members and the public to rely only on official party communication to avoid being misled.

“We advise everyone to verify information through official party channels to avoid falling prey to misinformation and manipulation,” the statement concluded.
